Almost 40 years of experience in water treatment and our long-standing work as a testing laboratory for membrane manufacturers from all over the world are the basis for the unique quality of our products. Many customers from the beverage industry, such as Bionade and the spirits manufacturer Chantre´, as well as healthcare companies such as Charite´ in Berlin, also place their trust in us.


Our membranes allow almost only water molecules to pass through, ensuring the highest possible purity of your water. Only the highest quality raw materials are used and the processes are strictly controlled. All our membranes therefore have their own serial number, which underlines the exceptional quality of the products and allows seamless traceability.


The durability of our membranes, which is unique in the industry, is further proof of the quality of our products. We specify the service life of the TLW-1 as 5-8 years on average, although it is not uncommon for membranes to last 10 years or more before needing to be replaced. Until now, this quality was reserved exclusively for our industrial customers.
To prevent contamination of your water through the membranes, only the highest quality raw materials are used and the processes are strictly controlled.
Apple produces its own chips and The Local Water produces its own membranes. We do not use the standard membranes from large manufacturers in the Far East, as is usually the case. The TLW-1 high-performance membrane is manufactured exactly to our specifications in compliance with the strictest quality controls and is only available from us.


As a genuine manufacturer, we not only employ renowned process engineers, but have also been conducting research and development in the field of water treatment for decades. The unique expertise in process engineering (reverse osmosis process) that is tied to our company enables the exceptional results of our products. One of our founders and current senior consultant, Professor Dipl. Ing. Gerd Weil, also held one of the highest academic positions at Osnabrück University of Applied Sciences in the field of water filtration for many years.

The TLW-1 is a large, high-quality membrane developed in-house which, together with the compressor installed in the Infinity, delivers a powerful direct filtration capacity of 2 liters per minute. The purest water is always available immediately.

The performance of the TLW-1 is ensured and supported by the Core OS activated carbon block pre-filter, which should be replaced every 6 months, and the Core M OS activated carbon block post-filter with integrated hollow fiber membrane, which must be replaced once a year. Those who regularly observe the recommended replacement intervals will enjoy a very long service life of regularly over 10 years.




There are two parameters for this that you can easily measure yourself. The first value, which reflects the performance of the membrane, is the conductivity. This can be determined with a conductivity meter or, as with our large Infinity system, read on the display. This should always be at least 90% lower than the value of the source water. The second value is the filter performance in liters per minute. If this decreases significantly, it may be necessary to replace the membrane. It is also important to have an unobstructed wastewater pipe, as otherwise the pollutants cannot be flushed out sufficiently and the performance of the system will decrease. Therefore, always make sure that the wastewater hose is not kinked or that the siphon is not blocked, as this will prevent the wastewater from being discharged.
